The AC Lax girls wishes everyone a Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year:):)

The girls of AC Lax participated in a high ropes course recently for some team bonding. The course tested our teamwork and pushed most of the girls past their fears. We worked together and everyone completed the course with flying colors! It was an amazing time and allowed us to grow closer and learn to trust on one another on a different level. It was a great learning experience for all of us! :)

2009 LAXATHON

This past weekend was our 3rd annual LAXATHON. What is the laxathon you might ask? Well it's our annual lacrosse fundraiser. 24 hours of lacrosse, dancing, or anything else that might be related to what our team does. You're never really sure what will happen when our team has to particapte in the Laxathon. Here are some videos from this past weekend!

Fall Scrimmage Wrap-up

We just played completed our fall season this past weekend against Niagara University and Canisius College, two Division 1 teams. We beat Niagara 14-7 and lost to Canisius 21-8. The team played great and had a lot of fun. They had the opprotunity to go to Niagara Falls on Saturday for the day and had a blast.

3v3 tournament recap

On September 19th we hosted our second annual 3v3 tournament here on campus and it was a great success. We had 15 teams from various areas including Michigan, Pittsburgh, Cincinatti, Toledo and Canada. St. Ursula Academy from Toldeo OH came out on top, going undefeated in the event. Congratulations to the winners and thank you to everyone who participated.

RUNNINGGGG

School has finally started and again its time to see how the summer conditioning went. Most of the team looks to have ran hard this summer. As we all know speed kills and hopefully we will be even faster this year. We are also planning for a 3v3 tournament here at AC and we hope to have a great turn out for it If you are interested please click the link below to get your team in!

End of Summer Camp Season

With another summer coming to an end so to does the camp season. Here is a top ten of things I learned/experienced at LAX camp at Adrian College this past summer

1. I need running shoes for lacrosse camp?!?
2. Band kids are fearless
3. People who coach youth hockey need anger management
4. There are some shorts that are just toooo short!!
5. Maybe campers should have ran before they came to camp
6. Playing Buck Buck with shoes on is really bad
7. Mattress surfing is a new camp sport
8. Toni Braxton and Cher sound awesome over the stadium speakers(Sung by SOLOKO)
9. sohcahtoa- So quickly do you forget Geometry
10. Campers love dressing up! Did they really bring orange thigh highs and that much make up to a lacrosse camp!

If you were one of the lucky ones who got to experience camp I hope you had as much fun as I did this summer!!!

Getting Started

With 8 days until the freshmen and transfer students arrive Adrian College is gearing up for another year! We have added 9 new faces to the women's lax program and I think that they should help push the team to be a national contender.
